Washington, November 06, 2022.- Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, Dr. Celeste Wallander, departed on November 5 to Turkiye and Poland for high-level defense consultations with these key NATO allies.
While in Turkiye, Dr. Wallander will participate in the High-Level Defense Group with the Turkish Ministry of National Defense to discuss regional security issues and bilateral defense cooperation.
While in Poland, she will participate in a High-Level Defense Group with the Polish Ministry of Defense to discuss support to Ukraine, defense procurement issues, and European security. Dr. Wallander is also scheduled to meet with U.S. troops in Poland.
