World: UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights issues findings on Croatia, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda and United Kingdom

Geneva, 04 March, 2025.- The UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights today published its findings on Croatia, Peru, the Philippines, Rwanda and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The Committee examined the above five countries during its latest session 10 to 28 February. The findings contain positive aspects of each country’s implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. They also highlight matters of concern and make recommendations.

In addition, the Committee adopted a statement, calling on States parties to design and implement their tax policies to promote economic, social and cultural rights and reduce high levels of socio-economic inequality.

The findings, officially known as Concluding Observations, are now available on the session page.

The Committee will hold its next session from 8 September to 3 October 2025 to review Australia, Chile, Colombia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Netherlands, the Russian Federation, and Zimbabwe.
